Bag It Up, Wichita!

Pet owners, take heed . . . When you clean up after your pet, do you dump the waste in the street or storm sewer? Do you leave it to decay on the sidewalk or the grass near the street? If so, you may be causing pollution or health problems. Did you know that we have more than 95,000 dogs and 100,000 cats in Wichita? That amounts to over 50,000 lbs of pet waste every day!

Video Inspiration

Video inspired by "Dog Doogity," produced by Puget Sound Starts Here and the Washington State Department of Ecology.

Are You Polluting Our Rivers and Streams?

Left on streets, curb strips and in yards and parks, pet waste can be carried by rainwater to storm drains and into our creeks, and the Arkansas River without treatment.
